Jim also believes in giving back to his community and industry. He served on the Board of Bishopstown Credit Union for a number of years and was Board Chairperson for 2 years. He served on the Board of LIA Ireland for seven years and was President in 2009. LIA is an Educational Body of over 10,000 members in the Financial Sector. Jim also served as an International Committee member of MDRT. He was the opening speaker at the 2005 International Convention in New Orleans attended by over 9,000 delegates.
Jim is happily married to Anne, his fellow AFS director and they have 4 children.
Anne is a Director of AFS Ltd. She is the AFS Compliance Officer ensuring that the Business complies with all regulatory requirements including complying with the Consumer Protection Code, Minimum Competency Requirements and Data Regulations. She is also AFS Ltd Practice Manager ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of service to you.
Anne holds the Industry Designations APA (Retirement Planning, Savings and Investments, Loans and Mortgages, and Protection).
She has 20 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry having worked with AIB Bank, First Active (now Ulster Bank) and Scottish Provident prior to joining AFS.
During Colette’s time at AFS she has achieved the Industry Designation Qualified Financial Advisor, QFA, and is embarking on a further study programme aimed at achieving the Industry Designation RPA (Retirement Planning Advisor).
Financial Advisor QFA
Brendan was born in South Africa and came to Ireland in 2001. Brendan has over 30 years working in Financial Services.
Since arriving in Ireland he has held Senior Management roles with three of Irelands top Life Assurance Companies, Aviva, Canada Life and Irish Life. The roles included Product Development, Operations Management and Sales Management. Also during this period Brendan studied and became a Qualified Financial Advisor, QFA. Brendan always wanted to advise clients, both individual and business directly, so he decided to put his QFA qualification to good use and left the corporate world behind.
Brendan joined Assured Financial Solutions in October 2018 and continues to advise clients, very successfully, on their financial needs and goals.
Ann joined AFS in 2016 as our Office Administrator and New Business Administrator. Ann is the first line of contact for our clients when they contact us.
Prior to joining AFS Ann worked in various office administration roles. These roles included Secretarial roles, personal assistant to line manager and payroll officer roles. Ann is a qualified payroll administrator.
While working in the catering industry Ann was a stock controller and administration clerk while also performing the payroll officer role.
